About 300 gallons of diluted sulfuric acid was spilled Tuesday afternoon at a research company and leaked into an alley outside, but the caustic liquid caused no injuries or threat to residences, authorities said. Fountain Valley Fire Department Capt. James Lee said the acid spilled as the result of an oversight of an employee at Composite Research Inc. in the 18000 block of Euclid Street. Lee said the acid spill took place about 3:30 p.m.
